作為病人,我們只會在病入膏肓的情況下才會入住醫院,但是我們對於醫院的醫護狀況卻所知無幾。因此病人難以知道哪間醫院是適合的選擇。我們通常完全倚賴醫生的建議而作出選擇。雖然醫生也會作出好的建議,但是病人要有一定的參與才能確保最佳的醫護成果。醫智網是一個額外的工具,它並非要取替醫生提出建議的角色。

Went in for a planned procedure to remove certain masses in my airway and repair a naturally occurring defect. The surgeon and medical team were great and made a big effort to discuss everything with me and keep me at ease and comfortable throughout the whole procedure. The only issues I really ran into were occasional communication concerns, often from the ward stuff not talking about things or discussing them with me while I was there. The only thing that really was a big problem was the roommate I had, who was elderly and would become quite distraught whenever the nursing staff needed to do anything throughout the night. They finally moved me into a different room very late at night to help me get some rest, but I'd think this was something that should have been considered before putting me in that room considering the other patient had been there for at least a day before. Otherwise, the staff were very pleasant and helpful whenever possible and were able to communicate clearly in English, which was a big concern before going in. I'd definitely go back if need be.
