On average, how much time did the medical staff (doctors, nurses and others) spend with you/the patient each day (in a 24 hour period)?
I had a very positive experience at Matilda Hospital. It was definitely above par with any US Hospital that I've either worked in or been a patient in. As I have a health care background. The nurses were very nice. I did notice that their hand hygiene was good and in order as it should be. I was a fairly simple case and progressed normally at or above expectations so I cannot rate the Nurses on caring for a "very sick or severely injured patient", but would think that they would be on par for Intensive care but I cannot comment on that specifically. The Anesthesiologist was professional and good and the Nurse Anesthetist was great as well. I would definitely return to Matilda for any surgeries or illnesses without hesitation.
My daughter was not diagnosed with an infectious skin rash and quickly deteriorated after leaving hospital. Staff were rude and dismissive when asked whether there have been cases of bacterial infections in the hospital and did not take concerns seriously.
I had an extremely positive experience but was admitted to the hospital for happy reasons (childbirth) and had a very quick and easy delivery. Had I been admitted for something for a medical problem, my evaluation might be different.
The nurses in Matilda took excellent care of my newborn baby while I was in a different hospital.
nursing staff, physiotherapist, pharmacist and doctor are great
